Description
Ultima-Tesamorelin, 5 mg
Ultima-Tesamorelin 5 mg contains tesamorelin, a synthetic growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analogue. It stimulates the pituitary gland to increase growth hormone release and is particularly associated with fat metabolism, body composition, visceral-fat reduction, lean-mass support, and growth-hormone signaling.
How it works
Tesamorelin binds to GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland, stimulating the natural release of growth hormone. Increased GH activity can subsequently influence the IGF-1 pathway, which plays an important role in metabolism, tissue development, and body composition.
Tesamorelin is particularly recognized for its effects on visceral adipose tissue, making it especially relevant to body-composition and fat-management applications.
Proper Use and Dosage
The listed presentation contains 5 mg (5,000 mcg) of tesamorelin.
The FDA-approved tesamorelin formulation is administered once daily. For the currently approved formulation, the labeled adult dosage is 1.4 mg once daily, administered subcutaneously.
For a 5 mg presentation:
500 mcg = 10 administrations
1 mg = 5 administrations
1.25 mg = 4 administrations
1.4 mg = approximately 3.5 administrations
2.5 mg = 2 administrations
5 mg = 1 full vial
For body-composition applications, tesamorelin is generally associated with growth-hormone support and visceral-fat management.
Benefits
Ultima-Tesamorelin is particularly suited to applications involving body composition, visceral-fat reduction, metabolic support, and growth-hormone signaling.
Key benefits and areas of interest include:
Stimulates endogenous growth hormone release
Supports GH–IGF-1 pathway activity
Promotes visceral-fat reduction
Supports improved body composition
Supports fat-metabolism pathways
Helps maintain lean body mass
Supports metabolic health
May complement physique-focused programs
Supports recovery and tissue-maintenance pathways
Convenient 5 mg presentation
Its strongest distinguishing feature is its focus on visceral adipose tissue, making tesamorelin particularly attractive for body-composition-focused applications.
Side Effects
Possible effects may include injection-site reactions, redness, itching, headache, joint discomfort, muscle pain, swelling, and changes in blood glucose or IGF-1 levels. Increased growth-hormone activity may also contribute to fluid retention or tingling sensations in some individuals.
